Benetti Oasis 40M is one of the most successful models

Thirty-four boats have been ordered from the Benetti shipyard, equivalent tot a total value of 700 million euros.. Notwithstanding the pandemic, or maybe because of it, creating a new way of living and seeing holidays and free time with the family, the Italian boating industry is experiencing a positive period, which is also reflected in the order books.

Benetti, one of the top Italian companies in the manufacture of super yachts since 1873, has been brilliantly riding the favourable wave in the market in a season that is showing itself to be very satisfying in terms of results. Even before summer, and the increasing desire for boating that comes with it, Benetti already has an order book filled with 34 boats, equivalent to a value of 700 million euros, and that, for the Azimut Benetti Group, corresponds to exceeding an overall of one billion euros.

In this current period of restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the boating industry has been experiencing a positive season marked by a widespread desire to get away and for freedom, while keeping safe, all which can be enjoyed going out to sea. On their part, Benetti has been able to take advantage of the moment by offering a wide range of latest generation models, consolidating their boom in sales.

WHAT SUPER YACHTS DOES BENETTI SELL?

The sales of composite mega yachts, between 29 and 44 metres, together to the custom steel yachts, between 50-70 metres (15 sold), all contribute to this success.

It is impossible not to mention the success of models such as the Benetti Oasis 40M, whose boom in sales has led to a need to double the number of moulds in order to keep up with demand, and which will soon be followed by a smaller sister version.

This is the Benetti Motopanfilo 37M, recalling the lines of the iconic Benetti Gabbiano from the Fifties, as well as the Benetti B.Yond 37M, a 4-deck explorer currently under construction, which will be the most environmentally sustainable yacht in this market segment.

Oasis, which inaugurated a new way of conceiving boating and life on board, with the stern able to be completely opened onto the sea and an infinity pool, marks the success of a number of the custom steel vessels, for example the B.Now 50M, which will continue to have this distinctive style.

It seems that even the Milan footballer,  Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has fallen in love with the Benetti Oasis 40M. He has been sighted during a visit on board the “Rebecca”, the first unit of the Oasis 40M, and it seems he wants to substitute his “Unknown”, a Riva 100 Corsaro, which he stayed on during the Sanremo Music Festival, where he was co-presenter.

“BENETTI IS THE OUTPOST OF THE ITALIAN RENAISSANCE”

Thanks to the extraordinary partnership – notes Giovanna Vitelli, executive vice-president of the Azimut Benetti Group – of the management, the workforce and all the representatives of the supply chain, who have continued to support us, I am proud that the Azimut Bentti Group, represents, through these excellent tangible results, an outpost of the new Italian Renaissance, which we are all hoping for.”

After having overcome the challenge of selling on international markets – adds Marco Valle, CEO for the Group – we now need to keep our attention focused and continue in the equally difficult challenge, which we have successfully done until now, of manufacturing continuity, in the full respect of the health and safety of those working with us. To all of those who are working daily in this respect, I would like to extend my most whole-hearted thanks.
