Cantieri del Mediterraneo a shipbuilding hub in Sanremo, used from the 1980s to the 1990s to build vessels under the  Amer Yachts brand, has once again opened its doors, starting with the construction of a 46-foot vessel dedicated to the City of Flowers.

Amer Yachts have decided to once again work with shipyards that played a fundamental role at the beginning of their history and that had been abandoned because of logistics issues for large articles as well as problems caused by flooding, which had compromised the yard’s activities.

However, in 2010 the building was refurbished, the first step for relaunch and the improvement of the site in Capo Verde, which over the next few months will be able to invest in sea walls for protection and new lifting equipment, making it capable of satisfying increasing demand for highly qualified boating services.

The first item to be built at the Cantieri del Mediterraneo arrived from Viareggio a few days ago: a vessel which will bring manufacturing back to Western Liguria, creating satellite activities and employment is one of the driving export industries.
