With 5 units already sold, SD118 by Sanlorenzo explores new ways of enjoying the sea proposing new spaces and a new idea of comfort and living on board

Its name is SD118. This is the new 35.73 metre yacht added to the historic range of semi displacement models by Sanlorenzo yachts, which are quite autonomous.

In a perfect balance between classic and traditional lines and a contemporary interpretation of maximum elegance, thanks to the essential aesthetics of the wide body hull, SD118 is a vessel that showcases the constant processes of research and innovation carried on by the brand over the years.

Thanks to its innovative configuration, the outdoor living area of the SD118 develops over two levels, connected together, a large area to best enjoy time outdoors between the upper and forward decks, which the owner has access to directly from his cabin using a sliding hatchway, hidden under the stairs connecting the two decks, in order to enjoy complete privacy.

The fulcrum of SD118’s innovation is, however, represented by the upper deck which, thanks to Bernardo Zuccon’s ideas, has an asymmetrical configuration, currently only offered in the SL range, guaranteeing more space, comfort, flexibility of use, and a direct view of the sea from both sides, generating a complete connection between the interior and exterior.

The left-hand side has a side deck with no breaks in the continuity between the bow and the stern, along which the bulwark in correspondence with the living room opens up to form a terrace, the right-hand side is presented as a wide body hull. In this manner, the deck furthest from the sea allows passengers to feel closer to the water, its light, and colours, both visually and emotionally.

The new model also redesigns the stern area, expanding spaces and comforts compared to previous models of the SD line. Once at anchor, this area can be transformed into a beach area of 19 square meters thanks to the opening of lateral hold doors, in order to dive into the water and enjoy the sun right next to the sea.

Five units have already been sold before the official launch of the SD118 model, including the version with interiors designed by Bernardo and Martina Zuccon, which will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021 and the version with the sophisticated, elegant and contemporary interpretation of Patricia Urquiola, who continues to work with Sanlorenzo on board the SD118 with her unmistakeable style and balance between rigour and irony, and an industrial and artisan approach.
