A singular design, something that has never been before. These are the “first” 24 metre vessels built by Cantieri Navali Codecasa, presenting the Gentleman’s Yacht. The new 24-metre vessel is a concentration of exclusiveness and elegance, combining the perfection of its lines with the flavour of the 1960s using exclusive solutions and advanced technology As is becoming for a true gentleman. The name itself recalls the vintage inspiration of the studio, Luca Dini Design & Architecture, translated into something never before seen.

There are designs commissioned by owners – notes Luca Dini – the designs commissioned by the shipyards, and then these, the designs which are born from a particular and unique inspiration. This is one of those designs. The idea was to transform a piece of boating history into something exclusive. The luxury yachts from the end of the 1950s make me become a child again. And so I wanted to create something that, just by looking at it, made me relive my childhood, walking along the pier in Viareggio and admiring the truly timeless elegance of these boats.

The design immediately conquered the heart of Fulvio Codecasa, giving life to the exclusive partnership between the studio, known internationally for the over 3,000 metres of superyachts designed, and the shipyard with the longest and most important history in the world of superyachts, known for its high standards of quality.

For a long time I was cradling the desire – explains Fulvio Codecasa – to give life to a vessel that, like the Vintage series of the last few years, brought together my personal vision of yachts, decanting it into a smaller sized design took less effort, making it easier to manage compared to a 40 metre yacht. Falling in love with Luca Dini’s design was easy, considering the reciprocal esteem which has connected us for years.

The Gentleman design – adds Codecasa – stands out for its distinguished elegance and its refined design, which recalls the beauty of the past and the lines inspired by the styles of sailing tradition, is also modern in regards to equipment, comfort, reliability and safety, so that navigating becomes a unique and singular experience for the lucky owner.

And so a limited edition came about of only 10 units, with their elegant and recognisable design, created for owners looking for something different: a second vessel with insurmountable charm to enjoy the closeness of their family. The first is already in the final design phase and construction will begin shortly. Yacht Moments with Kurt Lehmann supported the project from the outset and will contribute in selling this limited edition, aimed at potential owners from around the world.

Built completely in aluminium, to guarantee elevated performance, the Gentleman’s Yacht is charming in every little detail. Starting with the polished mahogany on the sides, through to the wooden surfaces (the bands of windows on the superstructure, stern mirror, internal gunwale)  and the chrome steel finishes (hull protection in the forward bow, the corners of the stern mirror) that immediately give the feel of the luxury yachts of the past that made Viareggio and Codecasa famous around the world.

Particular attention should be given to the large spaces dedicated to the Beach Club, which have never been seen before in a yacht of this size. This is a proper living area that connects the sun deck through sliding glass doors, thanks to which the interior and exterior have a continuous dialogue.

Its large size is due to the fact that the fully customised tender has been moved to the Main Deck. A choice dictated by the need for increased functionality and the ease of getting the tender into the water, which, thanks to a hidden crane inside, can be hauled by a single person. Not just a simple tender, but a miniature Gentleman’s Yacht, with the same finishes and elegant lines.

In addition to the owner’s suite, there are also 3 passenger cabins and 2 crew cabins. Given the size of the vessel, during the design phase every space was studied to allow the crew to move around the wheelhouse and kitchen completely separately, guaranteeing total privacy to the owner and his guests.

Wooden wainscotting, lacquered white ceilings, wooden details and dove and chocolate coloured leather, touches of sea blue in the textiles is the classic version of the interior. Modern touches can instead be seen in the more contemporary version, creating a surprising contrast between the interior and exterior.
