Shrimp balls with soy sauce
A recipe with an Asian flair: shrimp balls with soy sauce are tasty and easy to make, even as a last minute meal
Ingredients:
300g shelled shrimp
150g of soft bread (no crust)
2 cloves garlic
1 egg
Fresh parsley
breadcrumbs
extra virgin olive oil
Salt and white pepper
Soy sauce
Method:
Clean and devein the shrimp. Finely chop the garlic and a handful of parsley.
With your hands, crumble up the soft bread. You can then put it into a mixer together with the garlic, shrimp and parsley or cut it finely with a knife or mezzaluna.
Remember to add salt and pepper to taste and a few spoonfuls of breadcrumbs. Roll into balls. The balls should be soft and compact. Roll in more breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook them for about 15 minutes. If you have a fryer you can also fry them in plenty of peanut oil.
Serve hot together with the soy sauce for dipping.
Serves 4.
