It has only been a few months since June, when the mega yacht, “Viva” was delivered to its owner. “Viva” is a 94 metre long pleasure yacht built by Feadship in the Netherlands in their Kaag shipyard.

Its interiors have been designed by Peter Marino, while the exterior has been curated by Azure Yacht Design. On board are, among other comforts, a cinema, a beauty salon, underwater lights, a lift, beach club and gym, as well as a helipad to the stern of the upper deck.

“Viva” has a steel hull, aluminium superstructure, and decks in teak. It has two diesel-electric MTU engines (16V 4000 M73L) 16 cylinders 3,916 HP, working at 2,050 rotations/minute. Its cruising speed is around 12 knots, and its maximum speed is 20 knots. Its freshwater tanks have a capacity of around 71 thousand litres, while to fill the fuel tanks it takes 280 thousand litres of fuel.

The owner wanted their new 94 metre mega yacht to have a reduced environmental impact, and that this impact be no more than their previous mega yacht, also built by Feadship and 32 metres shorter.

In addition to choosing hybrid propulsion, the owner asked the designers to follow a minimalist design, both in the exterior and in interior décor, as they believe in a “less is more” philosophy. We can therefore see clean lines and a lot of glass. The interior is similar to a beach house. The hull has been streamlined in order to reduce consumption.

In April 2021, Viva left the Dutch shipyard, sailing very carefully through the Dutch canals, nearly touching the houses alongside them, as we shared with you in this video. During the Monaco Yacht Show, we saw the Viva in Montecarlo: here are our pictures.
