The first unit of the Sanlorenzo 62Steel has been delivered to its owner. With an overall length of 61.50 metres, a maximum beam of 11.90 metres, a tonnage of 1,300 gross tonnes and 5 decks, the new 62Steel, “Cloud 9” by Sanlorenzo, brings together decisive, elegant and balanced lines, large spaces, advanced technology and excellent navigation, guaranteeing comfort and onboard living never before seen on vessels of the same size.

About one year on from the announcement of new models by the shipyard, the first unit of the Sanlorenzo 62Steel has been delivered. On board the 62Steel is a private area for the owner’s suite, 215 square metres, on the upper deck, which, in addition to an incredible 180° view, is functionally connected to the exterior bow area of over 140 square metres in size, with a large sun lounge, relaxation area, and pool.

ENORMOUS SPACES ON BOARD THE SANLORENZO 62STEEL

An entire deck for the exclusive use of the owner, which can be reached by lift, including, in addition to the suite, two bathrooms and a walk-in dressing room, as well as a study, living room, and, to the stern, a 67 m2 sky lounge, an area reserved for entertainment, complete with an outdoor dining area, ensuring a beautiful view.

Also of note is the Beach Club, at sea level, illuminated by the transparent bottom of the pool, at the stern of the main deck, where the owner and his guests can enjoy a vast area: a private beach extends under cover for 92 m2, with relaxation areas, a bar, gym, and hammam, in addition to another 40m2 of pull-down terrace area on the stern and to the two sides.

To completely free up the beach area, the 62Steel has been designed with two garages, accessible from the lateral openings, at midship, housing, to the right, the 9 metre main tender and, to the left, the service tender and jet skis.

Focusing on conviviality on the yacht, the main room on the Main Deck shares 90 square metres of the area with the covered dining area, that can host up to 16 people. On the stern of this deck, the external living space leads to the guest pool, with transparent bottom, designed with a retractable cover, transforming it into an extensive sun deck.

Lastly, on the Main Deck is a massage parlour and 6 cabins, of which 5 for passengers, two with king size beds and three doubles with single beds, to ensure comfort and privacy for all passengers.

A UNIQUE MODEL

Among the other characteristics defining the singularity of this model, and usually present on larger yachts, the Lower Deck, which has 155 square meters to the bow dedicated to the 12 crew members (excluding the captain) with a crew mess for eating and relaxing, and a 26 square metre kitchen.

The bridge, located on the third deck, the Bridge Deck, also houses the captain’s cabin and ensures the best visibility for sailing the yacht in all conditions. The Tank Deck, under the lower deck, covers 104 square metres and houses the laundry room, the pantry, freezer, waste collection and water treatment facilities.

THE DESIGNER OF THE SANLORENZO 62STEEL

The 62Steel Cloud 9 was designed by the technical and style departments of Sanlorenzo, who developed a super yacht with low taut lines, characterised by the uninterrupted windows covering all three decks, visually lengthening the lines making the ship’s profile elegant and slim.

The décor and interior decorating of the 62Steel, “Cloud 9” were instead entrusted to the creativity of Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, who favoured the layout of the spaces and chose natural colours and materials, with neutral tones, making the rooms bright and creating a relaxing atmosphere, counterpointed by the warm and rich polished ebony, used to cover some of the furniture.

Doing the interior design for the 62 metre – notes Francesco Paszkowski – was an engaging project. The close contact with the shipyard, and the owner, having worked together with former for some time and the latter on 46 metre, allowed us to step into unexplored territory to create contemporary interiors, in partnership with Margherita Casprini.”

The main materials like marble, stone and oak – concludes the famous designer – are paired with glass and leather, Italian-made branded furniture work side by side with custom designed pieces made by our studio. Working with high level professionals, with a well-known shipyard and an expert owner, is always a a very gratifying experience.

In addition to the first model that has just been delivered, another two units of the Sanlorenzo 62Steel are under construction: the second will be delivered in the autumn and the third is planned for delivery at the the beginning of 2023.
